Summary :
On 29 September 2021, the body of a 59-year-old father, François Vérove, was found in a flat in Grau-du-Roi (Gard). The man had committed suicide by leaving a letter in which he confessed to being ‘Le Grêlé’, the notorious serial killer wanted by police for 35 years. He knew that he would soon be caught by the investigators.
Le Grêlé was suspected of six rapes and four murders committed between 1986 and 1994, but investigators have not ruled out the possibility that he may have committed others. By taking his own life, François Vérove put an end to one of the longest-running unsolved cases in the criminal investigation department.

Supported by gripping eyewitness accounts, this documentary collection recounts in minute detail this extraordinary case, which marked three generations of investigators until its recent resolution.
