Summary:

Every year there are 1,000 murders committed in France. In 80% of the cases the culprit is caught, but 200 murders go unsolved.

Over time these cases are gradually forgotten, leaving the victims’ families with no closure to their pain.

UNSOLVED takes up these dead-end criminal investigations. Each episode thus relates an unsolved case by looking in detail into its shadowy areas and examines all the questions that have gone without reply, with the hope of re-opening abandoned paths and perhaps even raising new theories the programme hopes to entice possible witnesses into making contact with the police authorities involved.
